Charlotte Chambers FCMA

Charlotte began practicing as a Mediator in 2019 having completed Foundation training with National Family Mediation.  She gained accreditation with the FMC in 2023.

Charlotte’s previous work with Citizens Advice provides a strong foundation for her role as a Family Mediator helping clients navigate the complex mix of concerns following the end of a relationship or family breakdown.

Earlier in her career Charlotte worked in London for 15 years where she held various senior support roles in Media and Public Relations companies including Sky and WPP.  She has organised international conferences and training programmes.  Following a career break Charlotte joined Uttlesford Citizens Advice in 2013 and trained as a Generalist Advisor where she worked with clients on a broad range of topics from practical issues such as managing personal debt, eligibility for benefits, housing disputes as well as a wide range of personal and relationship issues including relationship breakdown, domestic abuse and homelessness.

Such a broad mix of clients gave Charlotte invaluable experience, developing her ability to assess complex personal circumstances quickly and sensitively. Her confident, non-judgemental, friendly approach combined with her ability to clearly explain options was greatly appreciated by her clients who were often in distress.

Charlotte is an attentive and empathetic listener and has an ability to explain financial and legal process in Mediation in a clear and accessible way. Her earlier career experience means that she is organised, practical and responsive. Her patient and constructive approach has helped her clients find workable outcomes to their financial and childcare arrangements post separation.

Emma Bradford FCMA

Emma began practicing as a Mediator in 2012, and gained her accreditation with The Law Society in 2017. Emma brings to her role a wealth of business and property experience and is extremely proficient in supporting clients with their financial settlement considerations.

Emma has held senior management positions in a number of different organisations, latterly providing management training and coaching.  It was at this point that Emma chose to come away from general management and specialize in people management and she completed a Post Graduation Higher Diploma in Leadership and Management in 2010. Emma found herself exploring the profession of Dispute Resolution, initially within the workplace, but it soon became apparent that her skills could match the needs of families who needed help with their separation and/or divorce. It was here that she chose to become a Family Mediator.

As an aside, Emma built a personal rental property portfolio and gained a wealth of experience of both property ownership, development and private sector rental as well as a good grasp of Landlord and Tenancy Law.  Emma brings her knowledge of property into the mediation room and assists clients with their asset considerations.

Over the years Emma has worked with hundreds of clients helping to facilitate the processes they need to follow as a result of their separation. Her clear and structured approach, coupled with her natural warmth and supportive demeanour has meant clients are confident and comfortable that they are in safe hands.
